Let’s talk about binders—not to be confused with Open Pathways. While Open Pathways was created to keep detox pathways of elimination flowing, binders work specifically in the gut to attach to toxins and escort them out of the body.
A commonly known binder is charcoal, but we’re not big fans of it since it can absorb nutrients and negatively affect gut health. Instead, we prefer chlorella. Rich in chlorophyll, chlorella helps neutralize toxins and supports the liver—an essential organ for moving toxins into the gut where they can be bound and eliminated.
Chlorella also contains peptides and polysaccharides that can bind to heavy metals like mercury, lead, cadmium, and arsenic. It’s especially helpful during parasite cleanses by reducing die-off or Herxheimer reactions.
Chlorella is generally safe for children but always check the label for proper dosing.
