About This Tea

This is an herbal tea designed just for the expecting woman; our Mama-To-Be Tea supplies a wealth of health benefits towards the end of pregnancy.

Ingredients: Sample Size 6 grams (2-4 servings) of Raspberry Leaf, Nettle, Spearmint, Ginger, Oatstraw, Rose Petals, Lemon Balm, and Chamomile. Available in 10 & 20 Cups (10 Cups = 14 Grams and 20 Cups = 28 Grams). 

Instructions: In a poured 8 oz cup of boiled water, steep 1 tablespoon of loose tea in a tea bag or mesh strainer for 3-5 minutes.

Taste: flowery, earthy

Medicinal Uses:

Raspberry Leaf – Native to Europe, this herb is highly medicinal. It is a pelvic and uterine relaxant, a mucous cleaner, astringent, and toner. It provides diarrhea relief, sore throat due to cold, strengthens kidneys and urinary tract, along with providing relief for symptoms associated with uterine disorders.

Nettle: Known for its stinging quality. It does, however, hold amazing medicinal properties. It is a circulatory stimulant, blood tonic, antiseptic, astringent, an antidepressant, and diuretic. It grows wild in hiking and camping areas so be careful encountering fresh nettle for it can leave a painful rash.

Ginger– Native to China and an antiseptic. Ginger increases blood flow and circulation, beneficial for colds, congestion, and chills, lowers blood sugar and cholesterol, stimulates digestive enzymes, has an overall calming effect, and lowers blood pressure.

Rose– Often described as a very romantic flower, the rose is a great source of essential oils which may help reduce high cholesterol levels, as well as acting as a mild astringent and may help soothe inflamed or sore eyes. May also act as an anti-inflammatory and antidepressant.

Lemon Balm– This wild herb is fast growing and packs a sweet-smelling punch. It resembles peppermint to smell and is an antiviral and antibacterial. It is a digestive stimulant, antidepressant, and nerve tonic. Lemon balm is native to southern Europe. It also assists in allergy relief, aids respiratory healing, relieves tension and anxiety, mood shifting, stress-related disorders, and promotes calming. (Caution: Do not use this herb without speaking with an herbalist first if you suffer from low thyroid function (Hypothyroidism).)
